Tzinorot of the Gaon Holdings group is Israels leading and most veteran steel pipe manufacturer. The company was established in 1951 and has been traded on the TASE since 1993, with Gaon Agro Industries Ltd, a member of Gaon Holdings, as controlling shareholder. Directly and through its holding companies, Tzinorot manufactures, coats, lines, and markets a large range of steel pipes for water and sewage infrastructure, and for gas and oil transport. Most of Tzinorot's manufacturing takes place at the company plant in Tzrifin. The company also provides galvanization services at its galvanizing plant in Acre. Tzinorot has long-standing strategic ties with its customers, based on ongoing dialogue and customer-tailored products. As a company with a client-centered approach, Tzinorot manufactures and markets steel pipes ranging in diameter from 2-100 inches. Pipes in the 6-100 inch range are manufactured in-house, and according to their intended use are lined internally with cement and various additives and/or coated externally, mainly with three-layer extruded polyethylene to reinforce corrosion resistance. The 2-4 inch pipes are purchased both locally and abroad, and then coated and marketed locally by Tzinorot.
