Brinkman & Van der Vlugt (1929-1933) The architect Van der Vlugt was employed by Van Nelle and apart from the famous factory he also designed villas for the directors. All the Nieuwe Bouwen ideas are incorporated in this villa: light, air, space and hygiene, which became possible because new materials and a steel construction were used. This home full of technological novelties has been meticulously reconstructed in its original state. back Van der Vlugt was de huisarchitect van Van Nelle en ontwierp behalve de befaamde fabriek (tabak-koffie)ook de villa's voor de directieleden. In deze woning komen alle ideeën van het Nieuwe Bouwen tot uiting: licht, lucht, ruimte en hygiëne, mogelijk door de toepassing van nieuwe materialen en een staalskelet.
