Poodle Training - The Basics

As any dog owner knows training a dog can definitely be quite a trying process. This is especially true with Poodles however, because they tend to be quite stubborn and dominant. They are also very forgetful dogs and so they tend to forget things if they are not repeated over and over to them.

There are a few tips and tricks in particular which will be helpful with Poodle training and which any Poodle owner should be aware of. Dog owners should know that there are many different tips but only some work while others are basically bogus. One of the most important Poodle training aspects involves teaching the dog how to be less dominant and how to realize that the owner is the one in control and not them. But the first and most important lessons will be during housetraining when you decide to teach Poodle litter box training.

There are a few different things that are important for an owner to remember when getting started with Poodle training. Poodles are often difficult to train because they are very stubborn and often very dominant as well, but it can be done. One of the most important tips here is to be firm but gentle. Yelling and getting angry at the dog is not going to help any, as they respond much better to positive reinforcement and not to frustration.

Buy the largest litter box you can find and decide on the best place to put it in the house. Do not move the box once you decide where to put it, as this will only confuse the puppy during training. Fill the litter box with paper litter or just shredded paper because regular kitty litter can make a Poodle sick and should not be used. Take the puppy to the litter box every few hours or is the puppy gives signals of having to go potty.

It is then just a matter of time before your dog is using the litter box on its own. With a lot of praise Poodle litter box training can go rather quickly. Verbal praise and a pat on the head each time your dog successfully uses the litter box will reinforce continued use. Never yell or strike your Poodle, this is abuse and is never an effective training technique.

Poodle litter box training is often not the easiest thing, but definitely worth it. Training can be a positive and fun experience rather than one that is dreaded. Think of training as an opportunity to spend time with your dog. The bonding time is priceless and both the dog and trainer get a feeling of accomplishment. Keep your sense of humor to help you get through the process and know that soon you will not have to worry about accidents on the carpet.

Basics of Rebar Detailing & Concrete Reinforcement For Structures

Rebar = Reinforcement Steel Bar

Detail:

to describe distinctly and minutely

to allocate a particular task

to provide detail drawings of each element of design

A rebar or reinforcing bar, is a common steel bar used generally in reinforced concrete (RCC) structures and masonry establishments. It is typically crafted from carbon steel and is given ridges for better mechanical fixing into the concrete. It can also be depicted as reinforcing steel or rebar reinforcement. In Australia it is conventionally called as "reo".

In general, any material with adequate tensile strength could feasibly be used to reinforce concrete. But since the thermal expansion coefficient of steel is almost same as that of concrete, a concrete member reinforced with steel will undergo minimal stress as a result of differential expansions of the two interconnected materials produced by temperature changes.

If steel has an expansion coefficient totally different to that of modern concrete, it would create problems through additional perpendicular and longitudinal stresses as a result of large temperature changes. Although rebar has ribs that fasten it mechanically to the concrete, under high stresses it may pull out of the concrete, an event that often leads to a large-scale collapse of structures. To avoid such a failure, rebar is either bent & hooked at the ends to fasten it around the concrete or deeply entrenched into adjacent structural members.

Cutting & bending of steel rebar sticks to fixing them into the concrete block or member is generally performed by expert reinforcement fabricators or rebar detailers. Rebar detailing is a crucial job and requires precision to deliver greater stability to the structure. The expert rebar detailers uses latest software technologies like Tekla, Revit and AutoCAD to provide exact rebar shop drawings as per the specifications and needs of structure or building. The accuracy of bending operations is crucial to ensure that they fit correctly at the construction site and at the same time keep necessary lap lengths & anchorage length.
