The buck knives alpha dorado is a very nice small harpoon pointed knife that's very pleasing to the eye in my opinion. It's a folding linerlock that is heat treated by Paul Bos in 154CM steel. Buck 110 knives collection video review

Buck 110 is true legend of knife world - like Kalashnikov, optimal construction in any means. Most produced (over 3 000 000 from year it was introduced 1964) and most copied. Initially it has 440C steel blade and for 1964 it was like ZDP-189 now. Now it is 420HC and it is still most popular among working people. Well, several generation grown up with this knife. It is perfectly shaped, perfectly balanced, perfectly grind... Edge retention even for regular 420HC is very good - ahead of quite a few so called super steels and idol steel. For over 45 year Buck perfected it's production. It has no modern features - lanyard hole, clip, thumbstuds for one hand opening. If I am hanging on some construction and have only one hand free - Buck 110 will be harder to use/deploy then most modern knives. From other hand when deployed and already use - it is way more comfortable for long heavy exhausting work. I have four traditional Buck 110s with wooden scales and different steel blades: 1. Original 420HC 2. Custom shoppe BG-42 with birch handle (to be honest fit and finish is not very impressive on that one) 3. Cabela's Alaskan Guide CPM S30V 4. Bass Pro CPM154 and I hve limited run from Custom shoppe with Micarta and Nickel bolsters BG-42. In terms of edge holding BG-42 first, then almost same CPM 154 (note 154CM is different steel), then CPM S30V and 420HC.

Lifting Equipment Review: Cranes

Cranes are an essential piece of lifting equipment for the construction industry, used for moving heavy objects and materials. Specific types of cranes are needed for different jobs and there are a number that play a role in construction. They are the workhorses that help to take a project to completion in less time.

Mobile Cranes

A standard type of crane attached to a mobile platform, on wheels or rail. The crane is raised and lowered using hydraulic cylinders or cables.

Telescopic Cranes

There are several tubes fitted together, which are extended or retracted to change the height, or length of the boom.

Tower Cranes

Truck-Mounted Cranes

Truck-mounted cranes offer more mobility and are, as the name suggests, mounted to the back of a truck, which can be moved to the desired location.

A floating crane is necessary for waterway construction like bridges, dams, or ports.

ColdSteel XL Voyager Review: Pocket Machete

Cold Steel XL Voyager has an ergonomic handle that's oval shaped with great triangular patterned zytel scales and an extra long handle that gives you extra room if using the knife while wearing gloves. Easy to conceal because of the handle design which tapers towards the end of the handle disguising the knife as a regular sized folder. Pocket clip is really tight which grips the zytel scales so tight that will cause some wear and tear on your pants. See nutnfacy's knife modification video which shows you how to fix that problem. The Voyager has a HUGE hollow ground 5 Clip Point blade, VG-1 steel (one of the best steels that i have encountered with my experience)and weighs a super lightweight of 5.1 oz, Which is unbeatable, because there are few folding knives that give you a five inch blade and such a low weight. Clipped shaped blades will still penetrate and slice extremely well while still tackling all kinds of utility tasks with ease. The tip does look a little weak but most clip shaped blades suffer from a potentially weak tip because of the blade design. Since the handle is so long you can get more reach if you grip the knife towards the base of the handle giving you 2 more inches of reach, which totals out to 7" of reach which is great if you are using the knife strictly as a tactical knife.
